My wife and I really enjoyed talking our son here. It was a peaceful and and safe experience for our son.
We were greeted by the Amish family who owned the place. They gave us a tour and brought any animal our son wanted to pet.
They also ensured the experience could be experienced by someone in a wheelchair. So while the wagon ride is not accessible you are given the opportunity to travel through their zoo in your vehicle.
Highly recommended!!! Ask lots of questions about the animals many have stories!
Serene! Take a wagon ride around the farm, while feeding the cows, zorse, zedonk, pigs, llamas, and a variety of other 4 legged harmless animals. Feed the camels, visit the camel llamas, horses, ponies, and goats in the petting zoo. Peacocks, peahens, a pet parrot, and a rather uncommon species of chickens also roam about. I have a phobia of birds and I was okay. We paid $40 for 2 adults, children aged 2&7, including a $3 bucket of feed for the animals. There's a playground, a picnic area as well. There is no concession stand, or public bathroom (but they have a clean port -a- potty) they do have a very convenient handwashing station. We drove up 1 hour from Harrisburg, snd the surrounding scenery alone would have been worth it, but the farms cleanliness, amenities, and offerings blew my mind. The family was also extremely welcoming, their kids very helpful. Would definitely recommend!
This was an amazing little day trip for my daughter to celebrate her 2nd birthday early! Myself and her god mother took her. We both work/worked with animals professionally and I have to say these animals are very very well cared for. They are well fed, beautifully groomed. This was such a lovely experience and everyone running the farm was so friendly and nice. My daughter got to ride on a little cart pulled by a pony. The pony was in excellent condition and wasn’t just put in a pen to walk in circles all day, they just hooked him up to the cart for my daughter and another child then he went back into his grazing area. We were given a lovely ride around the grazing field in a horse drawn cart, during the ride they would periodically stop so we could stand and feed the animals in the field. There is a beautiful play set with slides, swings, and a seating area to watch your child. They also have a pavilion that would be great for a picnic or small party. We very much enjoyed our time here and will definitely be back again soon!
Excellent. The owner was wonderful and the place was very clean and had restrooms and handwashing stations. The cart you ride in was comfortable and you weren't rushed at all. Highly recommended.
