We decided to stop spontaneously when we saw the camel from the road. The owner was super friendly, talk to us about who each of them were and their names, and gave us carrots, apples, and grapes to feed them. We had 2 toddlers with us, and he was super patient. We will definitely be returning to see them again!
What a nice, little petting zoo! My grandkids (8 and 6) got to pet and feed llamas, goats, horses, donkeys and even a camel (my favorite - I was amazed how big it was). There were some animals that could not be petted: beautiful tropical birds and a handful of very lively and playful lemurs. The lemurs liked to make the children scream with surprised delight by jumping onto their side of their wire cage doors right at the kids' eye level. We will definitely visit again sometime.
Great little hidden petting zoo. The animals and the owner greet you so warmly. There is a good variety of animals and all are friendly (and don't mind snacking at all). I recommend stopping in as a date with your hunnie or with the kiddoes.
We visited 9/10, Sunday morning at 11ish am. Our family of 4 had so much fun! Mark was kind and helpful and gave us plenty of carrots and apples to feed the animals. These are the sweetest and friendliest animals. They followed us around and let us pet them to our hearts content. We were mainly here to entertain our animal loving soon to be 2 yo, but surprisingly, our 15 yo son had sooo much fun. He loved the camel and the llamas. This is a locally owned petting zoo with donkeys, llamas, horses, ponies, emus, goats, a camel, birds, bunnies, lemurs, peacocks, chickens, & pheasants. You can tell that these animals are well taken care of and loved. Please have common sense and watch after your little ones. Make sure to bring wipes and hand sanitizer to get cleaned afterwards. FYI, they do take credit cards! $15 per adult & $10 per child. And also, once you park, just open the gate. No need for Mark to come and open it. We are new to the area and are looking forward to visiting Half Moon Petting Zoo again.
We visited today and had the best time! All of the animals were so friendly! The lemurs were the best, So sweet and funny. The owner was so kind and very attentive. Our 1 yr old loved it, we can’t wait to go back!
