Nestled within Tilden park, the Little Farm is a charming and educational destination perfect for families and animal lovers of all ages. The farm features a variety of friendly animals, including goats, rabbits, cows, and chickens, all of which are well-cared-for and approachable. The opportunity to feed and interact with the animals was a highlight, especially for the children, who were thrilled to get up close and personal with them. The staff at the Little Farm are knowledgeable and welcoming, always ready to share interesting facts about the animals and the farm’s history. The little red barn was built in 1955 by vocational students from the Berkeley high school. What stood out most was the farm's commitment to education and sustainability. The informative signs and exhibits provided great insights into animal care and the importance of sustainable farming practices. It's a wonderful way to teach kids about nature and where their food comes from in an engaging and hands-on manner.

Had a great time petting the happy farm animals. We saw pigs, cows, sheep and lamb, goats and a rooster. You can bring lettuce or celery to feed the animals. Beautiful hikes nearby.

It’s great fun for toddlers. Take lots of celery to feed them. They have goats, cows, sheep, rabbits, and chickens. The miniature train within Tilden Park has a fun ride for the kids that you could combine this visit with.
