Wasn't overly impressed... We got there around 2pm and a lot of the animals were sleeping..a few of the exhibits are under construction and there seems to be a few spots of empty space that I feel could be utilized for kids stuff... I feel a built in splash pad would definitely increase traffic flow and the overall experience. I would also recommend some new glass at the penguin exhibit as it's old and hard to see through.

So it's 5 dollars to park right off the back. If your not from inghan County it's 15 per adult, 5 per kid depending on age. The amphibian house was closed and the animals were sleeping. Hot day don't blame them. Better to get there earlier in the day. The zoo is well maintained and I did enjoy it.

We absolutely enjoyed our experience there today. Even though we didn't have any little ones with us, we still stop by the petting zoo. The pony and the donkey were at the door when we walked in and stayed at the door waiting to be let in. But we did get the witness the cutest moment. There was a group with disabled children there and as soon as the donkey and the horse noticed them they left the door and paid attention to them. The donkey even started making funny faces. I really wish I would have got it on camera cuz that was just something special.

My boys and I love exploring all the zoos around Michigan. Potter Park happened to be 35 minutes from my house so I figured we'd give it a shot. We went last Thursday around noon. At first it was incredibly busy with tons of schools on field trips. But around 2 o'clock the park was pretty empty so it really was a perfect time to be there. It's a nice zoo for being as small as it is. It took us about 2 hours to see everything and that was with taking our time. It was only $40 to get in for my 2 boys, my bf, and I, which I was utterly surprised about tbh. The only thing I did find that was outrageously priced was the souvenir bucket for drinks, $18!! All in all we had a great time

I would recommend visiting Potter zoo if you happen to be in the area, but it’s nothing to plan a long drive for. John Ball, Binder Park, and Boulder Ridge all have more animals and charge the same amount. It’s a pretty place with cute art and beautiful foliage, and the animals that are there seem more friendly and intrigued by people than I’ve seen at other zoos. It’s clean and the staff are nice. A lot of empty exhibits. BRING MOSQUITO SPRAY
