3 weeks agoIt was a pleasant experience. We enjoyed walking through the beautiful grounds - woods and meadows where animals are kept - almost made 10K steps! Observing the variety of animals, reading notes about Native American culture and values was also quite educating and interesting. For those who can't handle much walking the type of golf carts were available for rent. It took us about 2.5-3 hours to see everything. It was really worth the trip. And we got the free ice cream as we were leaving! It was unexpected but very refreshing on a warm day.

2 months agoThis zoo is great! We have wanted to visit for many years, and it finally worked out today. They have a wide variety of animals. The park is in a wooded area, which was more relaxing and peaceful. They have golf carts to rent, which we chose to do as well. It was nice not having to carry my youngest the entire time. We all enjoyed the convenience of the gold cart. Hopefully, someday they sell season passes. We would buy those for sure.

a month agoThis is a very neat zoo! Entry was very affordable and reasonable for what they all had to offer. One thing that we noticed is that they have a lot of different type of deer, including albino ones (which I unfortunately did not take a photo of) which were gorgeous! They do not have giraffes like the Milwaukee zoo, but they have other animals that I don't believe they have like Capybaras! You can also buy buckets of feed to give to the animals that are allowed to eat them which is a very cool experience. And, while we walked, you are able to rent a golf cart at a cheap price if you have issues walking as well. I recommend eating before or after your visit because food choices are limited. The gift shop was very cute with many different types of souvenirs. This is an all day trip like the Milwaukee zoo, especially if you plan to walk, so do not plan to do anything else for the day! Very well done Shalom!

2 months agoWhat a wonderful experience. This is not a last-minute type of visit. You need to plan on being here a few hours to see all of the animals and enjoy the environment. Trails are maintained and spacious. Golf carta are available for rent, but it is a good interactive walking experience with beautiful healthy animals that are ready to eat from your hand or buckets. A must for families with children or animal lovers. Prices are cheap, and the experience is far superior compared to city zoos. Staff is friendly, and habitats are well maintained to provide ample comfort for the wildlife. I took over 150 photos on the visit and enjoyed the zoo for 4 hrs walking. A must do activity.

3 weeks agoSo much fun. I would recommend renting a golf cart especially if you have kids. Our kids loved it. Depending on the time of day you go not all animals are hungry so you might not get to feed all of them. It's really fun to pet animals that you would normally never come in contact with at your typical zoo.
