From the moment we arrived until we left, it was a phenomenal experience. Having a special needs child sometimes going to places can be tricky, especially if there is a lot of people around. Staff are all friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. The Zoo was clean, well organized and with lots of activities to do inside. The restaurant experience the same, very accommodating and great food. Definitely a place to return to in the near future. I do really recommend visiting!!

Southwick Zoo is a fantastic place to spend a day with family or friends. The zoo is home to a wide variety of animals, including kangaroos, camels, tigers, servals, monkeys, chimpanzees, sloths, zebras, and giraffes. There’s also a petting zone where you can interact with both adult and baby goats. In addition to these incredible animals, you’ll find colorful parrots, majestic owls, and stunning pheasants. As an added bonus, they’re preparing for Halloween now, so you’ll see festive pumpkin decorations throughout the zoo. It’s a fun and enjoyable experience for all ages!

Best zoo around. I won't waste my time or money going to annother mass zoo. Here their enclosures are large and so much for the animals to explore and have room. It is more than a zoo it's now tradition in our family we go every summer and always bring quarters for deer forest!

I have lived in New England my whole life and had never visited the Southwick Zoo...I had no idea what I was missing!! This is a wonderful, family friendly Zoo with lots to do and my whole family had an incredible time! They have a wide variety of animals (the giraffes, lions and tigers were our favorite!) and a lot of different extra things that you can do while you're there (train ride, pony ride, zip line, sky rise over the park, deer park with option to feed them). The highlight of our trip was adding on the Giraffe Encounter experience and at only $20 per person it was well worth the cost on top of the reasonably priced tickets ($40 per person for the combo ticket that includes the train ride). The park is clean and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. They also have a wonderful playground and goat petting area (both free with entry) and we will absolutely be back!

What a great day trip. We had a lot of fun walking around and exploring the zoo. It’s full of animals and has a few attractions that are fun. The parking lot was full but it didn’t feel crowded at all due to its size. Would definitely recommend and we would come back again in the future.
