a month agoI took my son and wife to this lovely farm out in New Orleans, they have pony’s, chicken, goats, pigs, and horses, and the cow will be back in September (she’s on vacation) you can buy food to feed the chicken and goats. They also sell fresh eggs and honey. Highly recommend

4 months agoFantastic birthday party event for my 4 year old daughter and her classmates. Everyone had fun on the playground and in the sand pit. They were able to feed the goats and chickens and say hi to the other animals. They had a blast!

a year agoThis is an amazing experience off the beaten path. I encourage everyone to pop in on a Saturday between 10-2 and meet Fancy, Pebbles, Delilah, Pants, Milo and so many more friends. I fed goats and chickens and even got some unfiltered honey to-go. It was a work outing and we had so much fun but I can't wait to bring my family back.

7 years agoIt's been a pleasure to go "behind the scenes" at Sugar Roots Farm! My friend serves on the Board, and I go there occasionally to visit her duck, Kady, whom she rescued and raised from a tiny duckling in her home until he was invited to live at Sugar Roots Farm when he was a little older. He has adapted to life at Sugar Roots Farm quite well. He loves people but also gets along with the other animals. It didn't take long at all for him to make friends with the other duck - Lil' Liza Jane! Many of the other animals have grown on me as well. Their personalities are as big as they are! They love visitors and can't wait for a scratch behind the ears - or between the horns in the case of the goats! But watch out - the frisky Llama will even kiss you if you let him! This small educational farm is fun for kids and adults alike! I highly encourage not just one visit but several and often as you can, as it's impossible to leave without a new set of friends who can't wait to see you again!
