3 weeks agoThis place is fantastic. Lots of lovely animals and interesting things to see. Got to be careful that little kids don't run over by the bigger goats looking for food .

11 months agoWill and his family are lovely! They are so knowledgeable about their animals, and have given us lots of tips and advice over the years with the animals we have here at Clyne. The last open day we went to we went back for more! We had such a nice time feeding and petting the animals that we came back again with extra friends. What a lovely place, lots of animals to see, and so well looked after. A lovely experience for any age. The star of our last visit was definitely James the Sheep!

a year agoGreat for a nursery birthday party! Staff were inviting and friendly. There were different kinds of goats, chickens, some pigs, horses, alpacas, geese, mice, hares and rabbits. The animals we're friendly too, especially when you held out food for them! Holding some of the animals was fun too. We'd get our animal food topped up at the gate which was cool. Kept the kids entertained for quite a while and was good for parents to chat too. Got a couple of criticisms: 1) For a party serving drinks and cake, it wasn't clear where the hand washing station was. Was it in the marquee or somewhere else. No one washed their hands at a sink before food and fortunately we had hand sanitiser. Was surprised also that you weren't encouraged, at least, to wash your hands before petting/touching animals. 2) Lack of staff being present was apparent. They were sometimes there and sometimes not. Once animals we're started to be passed around, there wasn't anyone to direct what to do once everyone had a turn. What was their name, kind of species, how old were they? No idea. A staff member could have stuck around and explained, helped, encouraged people to hold them and answered questions would've gone a long way. Either way, we loved the entire experience and we're bound to be coming again soon. I think they mentioned that at the moment they do bookings only via social media/phone/website and to discourage not generally open to just turn up to avoid disappointment.

a year agoI would rate 0 stars if I could. Petting zoo was at a local church hall where they had 2 alpaca's outside in a cage just big enough for them to turn around, they were whining and distressed the whole time. No montioring of these poor animals and so young children tried to feed them leaves, grass, apples and even bath foam!! Inside they had a flimsy wired area around some guinea pigs, rabbits and tortoises. Children of all ages able to go in and terrorise these animals by picking them up (roughly), chasing them and dropping them. They had 3 nice in a cage who were being roughly handled at at one point I saw a child throw a mouse to the floor. The teenager"monitoring" these animals spent the whole time on his phone and made no effort to control or monitor how the animals were doing. For 3 hours these poor animals cowered, cried and suffered. I'm appalled and a call to the RSPCA is fast approaching!!
